Cynthia Kasabian

Managing Director

Cynthia Kasabian, founder and managing director of CKB Consultants, Inc., is dedicated to helping executives communicate with clarity to achieve outstanding results. For more than two decades she has coached CEOs and their management teams on how to create and deliver highly effective messages to the media, investors, customers, boards of directors and employees.


With an extensive background in executive coaching and corporate communications, and as an award-winning financial journalist, Ms. Kasabian has created a proprietary method of message development that she applies to media training, presentation training and communications coaching. She also provides expert counsel on crisis communications and strategic public relations.


Prior to founding CKB Consultants, Ms. Kasabian was Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications, at Bank of America where she worked directly with Bank of America CEOs and their management teams. Her responsibilities included strategic communications, crisis communications, acquisition communications, media relations, executive speechwriting, internal communications and new media.


Before joining Bank of America, Ms. Kasabian was the business and economics reporter for the San Francisco Examiner and was editor of the San Francisco Business Journal. She also worked for The Wall Street Journal and wrote for Barron's and Businessweek.


Ms. Kasabian was a contributing writer to the book: A Guide to Financial Reporting, published by Columbia University Press. She is a contributor to PRNews Media Training Guidebooks. She has been a Conference Board speaker on the subject of Corporate Communications and served as a director on the board of Goodwill Industries.

 

Ms. Kasabian was a Knight-Bagehot Fellow at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business and graduated summa cum laude from San Francisco State University with a BA in journalism.
